Usually, studentships will be advertised on www.findaphd.com. If you are interested in carrying out a PhD studentship that is advertised, please follow the instructions on the advert but also feel free to contact me to discuss the project informally. If there are no current opportunities but you are interested in a studentship with myself, please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) a copy of your CV and brief summary of your research interests and we can discuss what possibilities there may be.

PhD position looking at the microbial ecology of bees and the influence of climate change
The project will aim to identify how climate change (current and predicted) may effect the microbiology of bees and what effect this will have on pollinator health. The student will have unique opportunities to carry out research and work closely with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. The student will benefit from combined training in pollinator ecology, parasitology, microbiology and conservation to address key questions before making a predictive assessment of how different climate change scenarios will affect microbe transmission dynamics and bee health.
